Cucumber Margarita with Za’atar Rim

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz blanco tequila
  • 2 oz cointreau
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 small cucumber, cut into chunks (about ⅔ cup)
  • 2 tbsp za’atar
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • ice
  • Directions:

    1. On a small plate, combine the salt and za’atar. Rub a wedge of lime around your cocktail glasses, and roll in the salt and za’atar mixture. Set aside.
    2. In a cocktail shaker, add the blanco tequila, cointreau, fresh lime juice, and cucumber chunks. Muddle to release the cucumber flavor.
    3. Add in some ice, close the shaker and shake vigorously.
    4. Once chilled, double strain the mixture evenly between the two glasses. Garnish with additional lime.
